Painting the Still Life

Painting the Still Life

Painting the Still Life Saturdays 2-5

Painting Still Lifes offers the visiting artist a chance to express the relevance of everyday objects while studying the effects of light and color on form. While painting a still life is a deeply personal process, certain questions can be asked along the way to guide the artist to a more nuanced understanding, and picture. Visiting artists will be encouraged to find and render shapes in pencil on paper before transferring their drawing onto a painting surface. Color and light then become a central inquiry.

Still Life sessions will begin each month or in some cases, carry on for several months.  Space is Limited. Monthly tuition is $100.
